What is My-Cast Weather on Your Cell Phone?
My-Cast Weather is an exciting new weather product that enables subscribers to take up-to-the-minute weather forecasts with you on your mobile or cell phone. There's real-time radar, current conditions, extended forecasts and severe weather alerts for a small monthly fee. My-Cast Weather on Your Cell Phone helps you maximize your free time and keep your family safe.
What do I need to subscribe to the My-Cast Weather application on my mobile phone?
First, you will need a phone with data access capabilities. From there, receiving My-Cast Weather is easy -- simply click here to enter your phone number and carrier. Instructions will be sent to your phone.
How much does My-Cast Weather application cost?
The fee for My-Cast Weather is approximately $4 per month. We say "approximately" because the cost does vary slightly by carrier, and there may be data access costs. To receive the exact cost, you must begin the subscription sign-up process. Prior to completing the subscription (once we know your carrier and type of phone), we will show you the exact monthly fee for My-Cast Weather. This fee will be billed through your phone carrier on your monthly bill. This monthly fee is separate from the data plan that your carrier may require. Contact your carrier if you are not sure if you have data access.
What is data access?
To use My-Cast Weather on Your Cell Phone, your phone must have internet capabilities (must be able to send and receive internet data). Check with your carrier for specific details and pricing for data access. Coverage will differ depending on your carrier and phone.
Will my mobile phone support My-Cast?
Most phones released in the last three years should support My-Cast. Simply enter your phone number and carrier in the sign-up form. If you receive an error when following the link, then your phone may not support this application. Check the supported phone list. If your handset isn't listed, contact your carrier or call 1-866-669-2278 for suggested phones.
Do you provide My-Cast Weather for BlackBerry or TREO devices?
No, My-Cast Weather is not currently available for TREO and Blackberry devices. We are continuously going through testing for new phones and mobile devices, so please come back soon to see if your phone has been added to our supported phone list.
Why isn't My-Cast Weather available for my phone carrier?
We are continuously adding carriers to distribute the My-Cast Weather products. If your carrier does not support My-Cast Weather yet, we encourage you to contact your carrier and ask them to offer MyCast Weather products and services to their subscribers.
I filled out the web sign-up form for My-Cast Weather, but I never received a confirmation text message on my phone.
The confirmation message with installation instructions and the application download link should arrive within minutes. If you have not received your confirmation message with your download link within one hour, please call 1-866-669-2278 and we will resend it.
How do I cancel my service?
If you wish to cancel your subscription to My-Cast Weather on Your Cell Phone, you will need to do so on your phone as follows:
- Sprint: Press the 'Menu' button and go to 'My Content' and then select 'Applications'. Scroll to 'My Content Manager' and highlight 'My-Cast 5 Weather'. Press the 'Menu' button and choose 'Unsubscribe'. Then choose 'Confirm'.
- Verizon: Press the 'Menu' button and select 'Get It Now'. Select the check mark and then scroll to 'Manage Apps'. Select 'My-Cast 5 Weather' and choose 'Remove'.
- AT&T: Press the 'Menu' button and select 'Media Net'. Scroll to 'My Purchases' and then to 'Current Products'. Choose 'Digital Cyclone' and then 'Cancel Subscription'.

Where does My-Cast Weather data come from?
We receive weather data directly from the National Weather Service, including radar and satellite imagery, lightning strike data, and hourly airport observations which are funneled into My-Cast's database 24 hours a day.
What happens when the skies turn threatening?
National Weather Service severe weather watches and warnings are available immediately on your cell phone. Plus, automatic alerts beep your mobile phone when storms or lightning strikes move to within 20 miles of your position, giving you the advance notice you need to take cover.
